I'm Laura E. Burns, creator of HoopAsana and Radical Body Love Yoga. My passion is helping people fall in love with themselves! I've spent a lifetime learning to love myself in each moment. The journey has given me lots over the years, and one of those gifts is the motivation to create HoopAsana and the Radical Body Love philosophy.
Through the healing mindfulness of yoga and hoop-centered movement, I have found body peace and helped countless people love and honor the body they have today!
I created HoopAsana because I love hooping and wanted to add the flow, centering, and awareness of a hoop to my yoga practice. Turns out that hoops do all that plus a lot more! Hoops allow for more fluid movement during Hatha yoga classes, help to create better alignment , and provide gentle support during balance poses.
I'm proud to be a Yoga Alliance 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, or RYT 200, trained and certified by Curvy Yoga, a Certified Punk Rock Hoops Instructor, a Community Partner with the Yoga and Body Image Coalition, and the creator of the HoopAsana and Radical Body Love Yoga philosophies and practices.
